Projects
Our mission is to go the extra mile in helping others get outdoors and active. Here are a few of the projects we tackle through ReVibe Outdoors:
We provide sneakers and running gear to those who could use a leg up in life.
We help those with a dream of running stride past financial limitations to pursue their active goals. We partner with running stores, race directors, and Individuals to collect donations of new, unused, and very gently used sneakers, apparel, and other gear and distribute those items to individuals who face financial barriers in becoming more active. We work closely with coaches, shelters, mentors, teachers, and youth teams to identify individuals in need and provide correctly fitted shoes and apparel needed for them to participate in a sport — or simply to become more active in their daily lives.
We’ve created the first & only free kids’ trail race series in the country.
What began as one free race just for kids in 2018 — the Little Loggers Trail Fest — has now grown into a 3-race kids-only trail race series designed for runners 12 and under. The entire series is free of charge for all participants, and all of the courses are staffed with volunteers and designed to offer participants (even those as young as 5) a safe opportunity to face these challenges independently. Our youth trail races are intended to build a sense of perseverance, determination, accomplishment, and both mental and physical strength. Parents and others are also welcome to run the race alongside their participants if they choose, as the races are an opportunity to create positive family connections in an active, outdoor setting, without the burden of financial barriers. From 2020 on, our Little Loggers event has been supported by a Clinton County Tourism & Recreation Grant from the Clinton County Commissioners and Tourist Promotion Agency. We’re grateful to the Clinton County Commissioners, in conjunction with the Clinton County Economic Partnership’s Tourist Promotion Agency and the County Planning Department for their support and sponsorship of this event.
We help outdoor event organizers reduce waste and repurpose unused swag.
Our gear donation program gives new life to leftover event swag. We partner with Race Directors from outdoor events of all kinds to collect unneeded giveaways and swag after their event and organize it for resale or distribution. High demand gear is made available for purchase in our partner ReVibe Gear shop with proceeds from those sales going directly to ReVibe Outdoors. All other gear is distributed based on size to individuals in need, including underserved athletes, kids, and residents in homeless and women’s shelters.
